Depositing Funds

Supported Assets

Currently, Sprout supports:
  • USDC (USD Coin)
Additional stablecoins will be added in the future.

Supported Networks

Currently, Sprout supports deposits on:
  • Base
We’re planning to support additional networks soon. Stay tuned for updates.

Deposit Limits

  • Minimum Deposit: No minimum
  • Maximum Deposit: No maximum

How to Deposit

  1. Navigate to Deposit: Click “Deposit” in your Sprout dashboard
  2. Enter Amount: Specify the amount of USDC you want to deposit
  3. Review Details: Confirm the network (Base) and amount
  4. Confirm Transaction: Approve the transaction in your wallet
  5. Wait for Allocation: Your funds will be allocated to yield strategies during the next rebalancing cycle (every Friday)

What Happens After Deposit?

Once you deposit:
  1. Immediate: Transaction confirms on Base network
  2. Next Rebalancing Cycle: Funds are allocated across vetted DeFi protocols based on your risk profile
  3. Daily Updates: Your balance begins updating daily as yields accrue
  4. Automatic Compounding: Earnings automatically compound

First Deposit Considerations

Your first deposit may show temporary negative yield on day one due to:
  • Bridging and transaction fees
  • Stablecoin conversion slippage (if converting between stablecoins)
This is normal and temporary. Overall expected returns remain strongly positive.

Protocol Lock Periods

Some protocols may have initial lock periods:
  • Hyperliquid: 3-day lock period from initial deposit
  • EdgeX: 3-day lock period from initial deposit
Your funds allocated to these protocols will be subject to these lock periods. Check your allocation in the transparency dashboard.

Withdrawing Funds

Withdrawal Process

Sprout has no mandatory lock-up periods, though some protocols may have initial deposit locks as noted above. How to Withdraw:
  1. Navigate to Withdraw: Click “Cash Out” in the app
  2. Enter Amount: Specify how much you want to withdraw
  3. Confirm: Submit your withdrawal request
  4. Processing: Withdrawals process during the next rebalancing cycle (every Friday)

Withdrawal Timeline

  • Standard Processing: every week
  • Protocol-Specific Locks: If funds are in Hyperliquid or EdgeX and still within the 3-day initial deposit period, you’ll need to wait until the lock period expires

Withdrawal Fees

Currently, there are no withdrawal fees.

Partial vs. Full Withdrawals

You can withdraw:
  • Partial amounts: Keep earning on the remaining balance
  • Full balance: Withdraw everything and close your position
Both options are available anytime (subject to protocol lock periods).

What Happens to My Strategy?

When you withdraw:
  • Partial Withdrawal: Your strategy continues with the remaining balance
  • Full Withdrawal: Your position is fully closed
  • Rebalancing: If withdrawal significantly changes your balance, your strategy may automatically rebalance

Fees

Current Fee Structure

  • Deposit Fees: None
  • Withdrawal Fees: None
  • Platform Fees: None at this time
  • Network Fees: Standard network gas fees apply for bridging across protocols (typically very low)
Future fee structures will be announced in advance.

Connected Wallets

Wallet Support

Sprout uses Privy, which supports:
  • Email login (Privy creates an embedded wallet)
  • Apple login (Privy creates an embedded wallet)
  • Google login (Privy creates an embedded wallet)
  • Connect existing wallet: All Base-compatible wallets

Managing Your Wallet

If you signed up with email/Apple/Google:
  • Privy creates a secure embedded wallet for you
  • You don’t need to manage seed phrases
  • Your wallet is secured by your login credentials + optional 2FA
If you connected an existing wallet:
  • You maintain full control via your own wallet
  • Approve all transactions through your wallet interface

Troubleshooting

My deposit hasn’t been allocated yet

Allocations are completed during rebalancing cycles (every Friday). If it’s been longer, create a ticket on Sprout’s Discord.

I can’t withdraw

Check if:
  1. Your funds are in Hyperliquid or EdgeX and still within the 3-day initial lock period
  2. You have sufficient balance
  3. Network is experiencing congestion

My earnings are negative on day one

This often arises due to bridging and transaction fees. See “First Deposit Considerations” above. Earnings will turn positive as yields accrue.

Security Best Practices

  • Enable 2FA on your account
  • Never share your login credentials
  • If using a connected wallet, keep your seed phrase secure
  • Verify you’re on the official Sprout domain
  • Contact support only through Discord
